What a Summer!!!

And Breathe…

Well after a busy few months moving into our beautiful new surroundings in Eversley we had the studio launch which was a bit of a dream come true to be honest, then it was go go go into full floral swing for wedding season.

It was this little business’s busiest and best yet and we really did have a lot of fun.  It was hard graft mind you – with 2am starts to collect flowers as well as venue visits, workshops and of course consultations with our fabulous brides and grooms it feels as though I barely stopped to draw breath! My business partner decided that this business wasn’t for her so I picked myself up, dusted myself off and set about having the best ever year and you know what? It truly was thanks to the hard work of my team and some inner resilience I didn’t even know I had.

I added a few more members to the team this year and we are such a close knit team now, I know that each and every member of the team cares enormously, is hugely talented and will work their socks off to ensure that each and every wedding is our best.

There were weddings near and far, from Sussex to Somerset, Berkshire, to London (a lot!) and in The New Forest too (and yes we did get to see lots of ponies!)  each one was unique, reflecting both the season and our clients… we used British flowers at every opportunity and silk ribbons from fantastic artisan suppliers.

I’m looking forward to a flurry of beautiful pictures landing in my inbox soon and updating my gallery with all the pretty soon…

I’m currently finalising the details for my Christmas wreath making workshops which have become a bit of a tradition for our regulars, lots of mothers and daughters come back year after year and they always sell out really fast so I may put a few more on this year.  I also have the very lovely and immensely talented Gemma Milly  of gemmamilly.com joining me in the studio for watercolour workshops (I’m SO excited for these!!!) Details to follow soon I promise!

I’ll be blogging about all of our gorgeous couple’s weddings over the next few months, in the meantime here’s a tiny snippet of what we’ve been up to –

This was the fabulous sunshine filled wedding of Donia & Frixos at Folkington Manor (It’s just SO beautiful there!) where we got to put all 3 of our massive hoops up… Pictures are thanks to ‘Weddings by Nicola and Glen’ http://www.weddingsbynicolaandglen.com who are as lovely as they are brilliant at what they do…
