About the class

This 3 day floral foam free floristry workshop is a great place to start if you’re considering a career in floristry and wish to use seasonal British flowers and work without floral foam.

Sarah Diligent has worked as a high end wedding florist for 7 years and has built up a company with a reputation for delivering sustainable luxury wedding flowers and teaching sustainable floristry techniques.

You will be walked through essentials such as conditioning, sourcing, equipment, and foam free mechanics. Sarah will demonstrate how to create table flowers and walk you through tablescaping, bouquet making, boutonnieres, corsages and sympathy work too.  You’ll create your own designs and take them home with you at the end of each day (including the vessels).

We’ll discuss how to present, charge for and transport all of these.

As a working wedding florist who eliminated floral foam from the studio 6 years ago, we have experience with considered floristry for all types of designs – Sarah and business partner William recently published “A Guide to Floral Mechanics” which outlines methods for creating sustainable floral mechanics.

All designs at Floribunda Rose are made using exclusively British flowers.
